    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Built in 1857 at a cost of $20,000, this house was the home of Henry L. Stout. In 1984, an auditorium was built, and the home was donated to the Y.M.C.A. A sign reading “Y.M.C.A.” hangs from the second story of the smaller building in the image. A four wheel wagon with an umbrella sun shade is proceeding along the street. A man is crossing the street, and a fire hydrant is visible protruding from the sidewalk. See LO 075 for an image of the &quot;new&quot; Y.M.C.A. building. Cracks in the original glass lantern slide are visible along the left side of the image. The number 1266 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[A man dressed in a suit, white shirt, tie and bowler hat is standing in a north-facing profile view on the railroad bridge across the Mississippi River. The bridge officially opened on New Year&#039;s Day, 1869 at a cost of over one million dollars. It has been remodeled, but is still in operation today. The image was taken from the east side of the River. A portion of the passenger bridge across the Mississippi River may be seen on the left side of the image. A small stone structure located on the west shore of the River is visible underneath, and to the left of the floor of the passenger bridge. The number 1265b is written on a label which has been stuck to the  lower left corner of the slide.]]></dcterms:description>
