On one end of the room is a microphone, switches and other devices for announcing train arrivals and departures. Behind Mr. Kiesele is a wooden display case filled with tickets. A list of “Passenger Excursion Fares” is hanging from the case. A metal ticket punch, an embossing device and a folded train schedule are visible on a table next to the display stand. A guitar case and a suitcase may be seen on the floor below the table. The number “82” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Funded by Andrew Carnegie and built on land donated by Frank Stout, the Carnegie Stout Public Library is located at the corner of 11th and Buff Streets. The front entrance faces 11th Street. The words “Carnegie Stout Free Library” have been engraved over the front doors which are reached by steep steps, and flanked by Greek columns. Planters have been placed along the front steps and flower boxes are visible in the windows along Bluff Street. A man is standing in front of the building. The number 1278 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.]]></dcterms:description>

A centrally located peaked roof as well as several large gables dominate the roof line. A round turret may be seen at the rear of the structure. Arched windows and entryways can be seen on the first floor. The building was constructed of Wisconsin limestone. A streetcar is passing the front of the building.
